Tickets: full price 30.00 + pre-sale rights/  reduced 25.00 + pre-sale rights
David Helbock, a leading figure in Austrian jazz, captivates audiences worldwide with his projects, performing at major festivals on every continent. His extraordinary virtuosity and creativity have earned him numerous accolades, including several awards at the most prominent Jazz Piano Solo Competition in Montreux (Switzerland) and the prestigious Outstanding Artist Award conferred by the Republic of Austria.
In his latest project, Helbock teams up with versatile electric bassist and cellist Julia Hofer. Hofer initially gained wide recognition in the pop world, thanks to tours with the No Angels and numerous appearances on popular German television shows, including those hosted by Stefan Raab. Alongside a strong online presence – with her videos created for Thomann captivating millions of bass fans on YouTube – she is now dedicating herself with increasing intensity to jazz, particularly through her collaboration with David Helbock.
In fall 2025, the duo will release a new album for the internationally recognized label ACT Music. The album presents a fascinating balance between intimate, dreamy original compositions and more rhythmic and groovy jazz pieces, reflecting the unmistakable style of Helbock and Hofer. The project is further enriched by the participation of notable guest musicians: Lorenz Raab on trumpet, Veronika Harscsa on vocals, and Mahan Mirarab on guitar.

Danny Grissett trio
Danny Grissett - piano
Josh Ginsburg - double bass
Francesco Ciniglio - drums

Tickets: full price 30.00 + dp, reduced 25.00 + dp

Danny Grissett is a pianist and composer of rare elegance, known for his ability to combine technical brilliance with a deep and soulful touch. Born in Los Angeles, he has been a defining presence on the international jazz scene for over twenty years. During his years in New York, he quickly established himself as a first-call sideman, collaborating with major jazz figures such as Vincent Herring, Nicholas Payton, Jeremy Pelt, Benny Golson, Russell Malone, and Vanessa Rubin.
His long-standing collaboration with legendary trumpeter Tom Harrell, spanning over fifteen years, has seen him participate in seven of Harrell's last thirteen albums. Through these artistic and recording experiences, Grissett has solidified his reputation as a top-level interpreter and improviser, capable of seamlessly merging modern innovation with the depth of jazz tradition.
His career as a leader began in 2006 with Promise, an acclaimed debut for the Criss Cross Jazz label. Critics received the album enthusiastically: All About Jazz called it "one of the best debuts I've listened to in recent years," while AllMusic praised his "effortless brilliance," identifying him as "one of the top three young pianists on the contemporary scene."
In the following decade, Grissett released six more albums, alternating trio projects with intensive sideman activities alongside legends and contemporary jazz figures such as Louis Hayes, Lenny White, Buster Williams, Lage Lund, Marcus Strickland, and Jimmy Greene.
His album Remembrance (Savant Records, 2017) received four stars from DownBeat Magazine. His latest recording, Travelogue (Savant, 2025), was hailed as one of the highlights of his career, appreciated for its "melodic clarity," "impressionistic beauty," and "elegant balance between lyricism and precision." Reviews from All About Jazz, The Jazz Word, and Jazz Weekly celebrate the trio's intense interplay and the refinement of his writing. With Travelogue, Grissett reaffirms his status as one of the most distinctive pianists and composers in contemporary jazz, able to combine expressive warmth with sophisticated modern vision.

Tomorrow’s Jazz Night
Magenta
Matteo Michelini - alto and soprano sax
Matteo Maranzana – piano
Federico Giolito – double bass
Lorenzo Fabbri - drums
Francesco Olivato Trio
Francesco Olivato – guitar
Marco Vavassori – double bass
Luca Roveran - drums

Space for the young talents of Italian jazz with the customary “Tomorrow’s Jazz Night”, featuring the finalists of the award of the same name promoted by Veneto Jazz. On stage is the band Magenta, formed by Matteo Michelini (alto and soprano sax), Matteo Maranzana (piano), Federico Giolito (double bass), and Lorenzo Fabbri (drums). The group was born out of their shared experience at Siena Jazz, presenting an open, expressive musical language, free from predetermined formulas and receptive to influences from different fields. Their sound results from an ever-evolving process, fueled by continuous dialogue between composition and improvisation, structure and freedom, individuality and collective listening.
Following will be the Francesco Olivato Trio, featuring Francesco Olivato (guitar), Marco Vavassori (double bass), and Luca Roveran (drums). Drawing from exceptional academic backgrounds developed at the Conservatories of Rovigo, Padua, and Castelfranco Veneto, they offer an original synthesis between jazz language and minimalism. Shaping the trio's sonic identity are the leader's philosophical studies in Eastern aesthetics: at the core of the performance lies the concept of Ma, the "empty space" understood not as absence, but as a fertile interval. Distancing themselves from virtuosity, the group seeks "meditated notes" and breaths, where the ego withdraws (aida) to make space for music to unfold, in an intimate and refined dialogue.
