The World of Women Between the 19th and 20th Centuries
From October 21, 2026, to April 4, 2027, Palazzo Sarcinelli in Conegliano (TV) will host the exhibition “Portraits of Women by Hayez, Boldini, and Carrà,” a major exhibition produced by ARTIKA and entirely dedicated to exploring the world of women at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The museum itinerary will offer visitors the opportunity to admire over 70 original paintings from renowned museums and private collections. Among the masterpieces on display are works by undisputed masters of art history such as Hayez, Boldini, Carrà, Picasso, Sironi, Corcos, Zandomeneghi, Grosso, Pellizza da Volpedo, Bucci, Dudreville, and Caputo.
The exhibition aims to vividly illustrate the evolution of women’s roles, women’s emancipation, and the major social changes of the era through diverse and captivating artistic perspectives. From the iconic femmes fatales immortalized by Boldini to the working women portrayed by Zandomeneghi, to Sironi’s powerful realism and an exclusive 1949 lithograph by Picasso, each room will take visitors on an extraordinary journey of discovery. Among the highlights is a splendid painting depicting Queen Margherita, complemented by the display of her original wedding cloak.
The exhibition is open from Wednesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
