Cison di Valmarino is like a dream land. Wander around Castelbrando, which is one of the oldest castles in Europe. It’s now a luxury hotel and it’s home to six museum routes, dedicated to weapons, clothes, carriages, music and court life. The picturesque village of Cison di Valmarino is also the starting point for the Via dell’Acqua: a path that goes past a number of watermills. Legend has it that a mischievous elf named Mazzariol lives there. Every August, artisans flock to the town from all over the world for the “Artigianato Vivo” craftsmanship festival.
