7. Permanent festival of restored cinema
It will be held in Venice from January 21 to April 29, 2026 – weekly on Wednesdays at 7 PM at Cinema Rossini (Salizzada de la Chiesa o del Teatro, 3997) – the seventh edition of the film festival Classics Off Display. Permanent Festival of Restored Cinema, organized by the Biennale di Venezia in collaboration with the Cinema Circuit of the Municipality of Venice, Ca’ Foscari University, and IUAV University of Venice.
The festival will present 12 Classics recently restored by major film archives from around the world, in original version with Italian subtitles. Each film will be preceded by a presentation by an expert and followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
