7. Permanent festival of restored cinema
It will take place in Venice from January 21 to April 29, 2026 – weekly on Wednesdays at 7 PM at Cinema Rossini (Salizzada de la Chiesa o del Teatro, 3997) – the seventh edition of the film series Classics Out of Competition. Permanent Festival of Restored Cinema, organized by the Biennale di Venezia in collaboration with the Cinema Circuit of the Municipality of Venice, Ca’ Foscari University, and IUAV University of Venice.
The series will present 12 Classics recently restored by the main film archives around the world, in original version with Italian subtitles. Each film will be preceded by the introduction of an expert and followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
