The exhibition presents images with a strong emotional impact, to reflect on current environmental issues.
The Gallerie d'Italia - Vicenza present from October 3, 2025 to April 6, 2026 the exhibition Cristina Mittermeier. The Great Wisdom, in collaboration with National Geographic. After the success achieved at the Gallerie d’Italia in Turin (from March 14 to September 1, 2024) and at the Galleria d’arte moderna in Palermo (from March 7 to June 2, 2025), the exhibition celebrates the work of the great Mexican photographer, with images of high emotional and scenic impact, to reflect on currently very relevant environmental themes.
Cristina Mittermeier has traveled to every corner of the world as a photographer, marine biologist, and activist, documenting the beauty of our planet and the diverse cultures and traditions of its inhabitants. Through her work, she tells the ancient knowledge of cultures from around the world and their relationship with our ecosystem, and offers us the testimony of traditions, rituals, and knowledge passed down from generation to generation, inviting us to reflect on a “great wisdom” and formulating the concept of enoughness, of “enough.”
The photographer presents the idea of enoughness as a way of thinking about our place in the global ecosystem. The enoughness encourages a deeper understanding of how our living in the world and our daily choices have an impact on the planet and the climate. The enoughness comes from the recognition and appreciation of what we already have and who we already are.
Open from Tuesday to Sunday 10-18, closed Monday.
Open also on Monday, April 6.
