The development of the artist in an exhibition
From 11 October 2023 to 25 February 2024 Palazzo Sarcinelli hosts the new exhibition "Giorgio de Chirico. Metafisica continua".
Seventy-one works enrich the exhibition itinerary that looks at the development of the artist's style and poetics. The main focus is on his iconographic innovations and his ability to relate classical antiquity to 20th century modernist painting style.
Not only painting but also drawing, watercolour, sculpture and lithography are the techniques used to create the works on display. A special section is dedicated to the artist's Neo-Metaphysical season (c. 1965-1978), during which he returned to themes from his early Metaphysical period.
The exhibition can be visited from Wednesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
