The entire treasure trove of Veneto, Italian and international cheese production will be on show in the delightful location of Villa Contarini in Piazzola sul Brenta.
Caseus is in fact the competition dedicated to large PDO cheese productions and small farm productions, to put the figure of the shepherd-cheesemaker and the return to the origins of the cheese-making technique back at the centre.
There will be a packed calendar of meetings between visitors and producers, protection consortia, chefs, pizza makers and farmhouse cooks. There will be more than fifty guided tastings over the two days, and there will also be a market of typical products from all over Italy and a market of cheese makers and PPLs from the Veneto Region.
This is a true emporium of taste that aims to draw attention to a regional and national sector that manages to produce excellence envied and copied all over the world, with the objective of enhancing the Made in Italy product and educating the consumer to make an informed choice.
